TalkLeft Appreciation Week

Bump and Update: Today is the final day of our TalkLeft Appreciation Week. Thank you to all who contributed so far, I'll be sending out thank you emails over the weekend.

********

If you have appreciated TalkLeft's s intensive coverage of the George Zimmerman case and trial over the past 16 months, here or at our forums, I hope you will consider making a donation to TalkLeft.

Debunking the myths, reviewing the discovery and pleadings, watching the hearings and trial, researching Florida law, writing extensive posts on the case and moderating comments to maintain a civil level of discourse and remove false information on the case, has consumed a huge amount of my time. It has been my pleasure to share my analysis and opinions with readers, and provide a place to comment, in an ad-free environment.

Here is the the paypal link. It's very easy (and takes credit cards even if you don't have a paypal account.)[More...]

I should also mention that TalkLeft's server is maxed out. We are trying to allocate resources between TalkLeft and the Forums, but with 11 years of posts and several years of comments, it's just more than one server can handle. Hosting is already expensive because we are on our own server. I am looking into solutions, and donations would really help as I consider the options.

I have a little extra cash at a time when you could use it.  I only wish I could give more for all the work you do.

I really appreciate you and your site.

    Even thought I'm on the right, I sent a donation (5.00 / 1) (#12)

Even though I often disagree with the majority of posters here I also donated and would like to thank Jeralyn for providing a forum where opinions can be voiced in a civil manner.

with all the blogs today and watch the trial.  The lawyers and Oc are doing a great job answering questions and pointing out truths.  Terrific work Jeralyn putting up the blogs so fast.  If everybody gave a hundo to TL you could keep blogging and there would be fewer arguments like yesterday. Oh yeah the dopey Marlins won today too.

Now I know you're fishing for square grouper Moneybags;)

I had a sawbuck left on the prepaid cc after the concert ticket buying binge...an embarrassing pittance for the usage I get outta this haven, but it's the least I can do.  Thanks Jeralyn, and sorry if I've been a Zimmerman nuisance, I feel so strongly I just can't help myself.  But believe it when I say I'm rooting for an acquittal...social stigma and pray to god some lessons learned by the man is good enough for me.  As long as there are so many souls in prison none of us are free, to paraphrase the Eugene V. Debs-ster.

are a thing of the past and if there are any they are way out in the Gulf Stream heading North to you.  The Coast Guard, Florida Wildlife Control, Homeland Security, and now NSA are watching everything.  It was fun to find them in the past but the ones I found were super water logged and no good.  You had to look for the bales that floated high and dry in the water but the lobster fishermen usually got them since they are out there more than anyone else.

Domestic crops are where it's at, and where the future is at anyway.

Segue to the societal problems associated with binge drinking, and an alcohol research expert in Australia's suggestion to end the scourge of reefer prohibition to alleviate this problem.  Now that's a Professor worthy of the title! You tell 'em Prof...the man can't stay deaf, dumb, and blind forever.

Aimes here (aimeslee@gmail.com) - just wanted to say that I was a legacy yellow-dog dem for 51 years who became an independent in August 2007 (one too many Keith O. special comments, LOL) and who now frankly feels more comfortable around conservatives (even tho I'll never be one). So, this place is a treat for me because you are all so damn sane. If all dems/libs/progs were like y'all, America would be a much better place and I thank you. I just donated, hope it helps, more later when I can. xoxo
