    Glad I had a chance to catch it.  Balls and strikes nonsense, indeed.  What of balks? Batters with a foot outside the box? Catcher's interference? Not to mention checking the disputed dribbler base-hit for the shoe polish which would prove it foul. Or ejecting a manager for calling your mother an unshowered prostitute. Or when to call the game because of weather or crowd unruliness.  Or,
