Tiger Woods Released From Hospital, Alcohol Not Involved

Tiger Woods is out of the hospital. His injuries were not serious. He did hit a tree and a fire hydrant. Alcohol was not a factor.

The rumor mill: He may have been Driving while Ambien'ed or his wife and he may have fought about a woman named Rachel Uchitel. TMZ reports his face scratches came from his wife.

If she was really hitting the car with a golf club while he was trying to run away he may have been distracted trying not to run over her.

He said he was taking pain killers for a previous injury.

My quote came from the linked article and it means that TMZ supposedly got their info from a non law enforcement type who supposedly got his info from Tiger - which to me equals 3rd hand gossip.

would look if they were constantly being showcased on TMZ, huh?  Or what it would be like if everyone we came into contact with was a potential source for a media always starving for the details of our every move.

No thanks.  I think I'll stick with my hum-drum, pedestrian life that nowhere in it can the phrase "multi-million dollar" be used to describe any of it - my salary, my home - anything.

I don't feel sorry for Tiger, as much as I do not envy his fame and fortune, or any of the problems that come along with them.

Then again, it is possible that Tiger is better driving a golf ball by day than a Cadillac by night.

where they were having a fight and he jumped in the car to just get out of the house and he didn't buckle his seatbelt and just hit the gas and left rubber when leaving the driveway....maybe looks back or isn't paying enough attention, going too fast, hits the fire hydrant and then the tree....glass shatters all over his face and the airbag doesn't deploy because he isn't going fast enough (according the reports, anyway; however, I though airbags deployed at 5 mph)....  Whatever.  I've never been a fan of him personally although I will admit that he's a talented golfer.

I have other things to worry about today - an 83-year old father-in-law who is the victim of one of those online scams...gotta go rescue him and his money - what's left.

until Monday when the banks open and we can get to his city to talk to everyone involved.  I do know the basics of the story right now and it involves "winning the lottery but you've got to pay the taxes first, mail your check here..." and he apparently mailed a check that was cashed in another state but wasn't honored by the bank that owns his account.  Police in the other state are now involved.  Thanks for your good wishes.

air bags to deploy. So being slowed down even more by striking the fire hydrant, probably about 5-10 mph. Must have hit the tree head-on since they mentioned the air bags, and Elin breaking out the back window with a golf club. (BTW, that's what everyone does when running out of their house because a car hit a tree....grab a golf club.)

This video of the police officer says he was mumbling, had cuts on his upper and lower lips, and had a little blood in the mouth (logic says from the cut lips that probably hit the steering wheel).

Alcohol is not the only possible cause for his behavior....I read somewhere that he had taken painkillers for an old injury :) Isn't that the first defense? Legal painkillers...might have taken 2 instead of the recommended 1.

I don't care what Tiger and his wife did that night, but I really am sick of lies and cover ups by the media to keep the pedestal of celebrities in an upright position.

I read that Elin broke out (none / 0) (#24)

Not saying it makes sense, just that that's what I read.  I mean, did the woman not worry about moving someone who might have a head injury?

I think the whole thing smells funny, but I'm sure by the time the PR team gets finished - and Tiger's cuts look better and the swelling has gone down - we'll get the obligatory presser, no doubt with devoted wife at his side.

Can't be easy for a petite little gal to drag a big, unconscious man over the back of the front seat and all the way out the back of a big Cadillac Escalade, then lower him carefully to the ground (those vehicles are huge).

I'm thinking they got themselves a lemon if the doors are going to buckle on a 5 mph fender bender. :)

It is a twisted tale of intrique. But, they do know that there is a fan base who will believe every lying word of it.

And possibly the injuries to Tiger Wood were also at least partially cause by the same club.  Sub dural hematoma.

I like the comment about the accident reconstruction but I doubt that will happen.  It would, however, be very useful in helping to put an end to the rumors and innuendo if the accident happened like Elin said.  I doubt that's the case though, honestly.
