Monica Goodling to Testify on U.S. Attorney Firings

Today is the day Monica Goodling testifies with immunity before the House Judiciary Committee on the U.S. Attorney firings.

Will she provide further ammunition for those hoping for an Alberto Gonzales' resignation? Or will she plead love of country?

I think it's the latter and she'll be defensive about the firing plan, trying to cast it in the best possible light.

The problem is, there may be no more light at the end of this tunnel.

... continuously parroted the wrongwing talking pint that no crimes were committed, monica has news for you:
she admitted to have considered applicants for jobs as career prosecutors based on their political loyalties a violation of federal law.
"Do you believe they were illegal or legal?" Scott asked.

"I don't believe I intended to commit a crime," Goodling, a lawyer, answered.

"Did you break the law? Is it against the law to take those considerations into account?" Scott said.

"I believe I crossed the line, but I didn't mean to," she responded.

even with immunity, she wasn't responsible for anything and can't remember s**t.  Classic.
