Waas: Rove Still In Legal Jeopardy

Notwithstanding last night's comeback at the Federalist Society dinner, Crooks and Liars points us to Murray Waas' new column indicating otherwise.

Murray always has the best sources. I'll have more to say later this afternoon after I've had a chance to parse it.

if all goes well, satan will arrive early to collect his marker from rove... after all, it's been going on 30 years since karl signed over his soul in return for the one-way ticket to power... watching his smarmy performance last night, it's clear he still thinks he's the cat's pajamas... (i love using one of my late grandmother's phrases every now and then... ah, memories...!)

Was Murray the guy who was forecasting 22 indictments????

Twenty-two COUNTS of indictment, not 22 indictments. The case isn't over. The original crimes haven't even been addressed. Fitzgerald removed Libby from the game. He's 1:1. It's still the fifth inning.

wonder if Rove had a hand in this:
But there's one more small detail, reported this morning in La Repubblica. The report sent over from Italy removed the out-of-date names (one of the key reasons they were spotted later as forgeries) and replaced them with the correct names. In other words, there seems to have been a conscious effort to cover up the fact that the documents were bogus, to clean them up, as it were.
