It's been a travel day for me--just arrived in Lexis-Nexis land, Ohio, for a LN-Martindale Hubbell legal advisory board meeting. The backbone of Lexis is in Dayton, and we're all here for a tour, which I'm really looking forward to. Usually we go to a resort type place, but the board members all wanted to see the real thing, and the companies graciously obliged.
This is the board I mentioned here that Harriet Miers, President Bush's choice to be White House Counsel, used to be on with us. I'm sure she will be our first toast at dinner (which is in 20 minutes.) Former Attorney General Ben Civiletti is also on the board, as are several past ABA Presidents and their equivalents from Spain, Canada and more. I'm the lone "sole practitioner" on the board--giving advice on what they call "small law."
Since I haven't seen the news today, here's an open thread for you to pick the topics and discuss. I'll be back later. Thanks to TChris for keeping TalkLeft active and interesting today.
