RIP Beth Chapman

Bump and Update: (6/26/19, 10:52 a.m. M.T)

RIP Beth Chapman, and our deepest condolences to Duane ("Dog the Bounty Hunter") and their family. There really aren't enough positive adjectives in the dictionary to describe this incredibly unique, forceful, talented, loyal, generous, beautiful, protective and socially committed woman. This is a huge loss. To her family: I hope the memories of your good times together get you through this difficult time.

From Dog's twitter feed an hour ago:

It’s 5:32 in Hawaii, this is the time she would wake up to go hike Koko Head mountain. Only today, she hiked the stairway to heaven. We all love you, Beth. See you on the other side.

Sending Good Thoughts and Hope to Beth and Dog Chapman

Duane "Dog the Bounty Hunter" Chapman has posted a a tweet asking that readers send prayers for his wife, Beth Chapman, who is in a medically induced coma in Hawaii. Beth has been fighting throat cancer and lung cancer for a few years.

I first met Dog more than 25 years ago when he bonded out one of my clients and we remained friends. He and Beth have reached out to me to assist them or people close to them several times over the years, and they are both such amazing people. I can't say enough good things about them. For now, all I want to do is send my good thoughts their way and ask that everyone else do the same. #Keep fighting Beth!

... on the loss of your friend. 51 is much too young an age for anyone to be departing this world. But she's now at peace and no longer suffers any pain.

... her mother has refused any further chemotherapy. Can't say that I blame her. Speaking for myself only as a three-time cancer patient, I've long since accepted that at some point, what will be will be. Sounds like she's there, too. At least she's not alone, and is surrounded by her family and other loved ones.

So sad when a mother is lost so young, wishing good thoughts to her kids. Dog, I must admit, kind of lost me a few years ago for reasons he did many others, but he still did decent and emotionally humane work much of the time, in an industry that all of us would agree should not exist in the first place. But I can feel for him here, they were obviously an intensely committed couple.

    Peace...
