Trump Begins Nightly "News" Coverage of His Campaign

I don't know who else still uses Facebook, but Donald Trump does. Dissatisfied with media coverage of his campaign, his campaign aides have started nightly broadcasts of the day's campaign events from Trump Tower. It's his version of "Nightly News -- My Way." They air on his FB page.

Supposedly this is not related to recent reports he would launch a media company after he loses the Presidency.

Although shot to mimic a news program, the broadcast was essentially a campaign advertisement with only glowing coverage of Trump and sharp criticism of his Democratic opponent, Hillary Clinton. After about 40 minutes the broadcast cut to live coverage of Trump's speech from Tampa, Fla.

    You mean they didn't cover any of today's (5.00 / 2) (#3)

top three campaign stories? (1) Tr*mp is taking a day off from campaigning Wednesday (with under two weeks to go) to tout his new Washington DC Old Post Office hotel (which is almost entirely furnished -- beds, bedding, lamps, TVs, bathrobes, etc. -- with foreign-made accoutrements) on the occasion of its "grand opening" ; (2) British journalists who pretended to represent Chinese businessmen wishing to funnel (illegal) multi-million dollar contributions to the Clinton and Tr*mp campaigns through friendly PACs were met with a silent freeze-out from HRC's people but with a welcoming (albeit unlawful) game plan from Tr*mp's; and (3) a first-hand report that Tr*mp hosted "parties" for wealthy investors at a hotel he owned at the time in NYC featuring cocaine and underage models.

    I predicted something like this (5.00 / 1) (#4)

Was his real motivation for running, although I thought it would be more if a reality show.

He still doesn't want to be president - he never did.  He just diesn't want to lose the biggest and most public competition of his life.
