Arrest Warrant Issued for Michael Jackson

Jackson Trial Update
Thursday March 10

Michael Jackson didn't show for court this morning. His lawyer, Tom Mesereau, says he is at a hospital getting treatment for a back problem. The judge has issued an arrest warrant and given Jackson one hour to appear or he will forfeit the $3 million bail. Jackson's accuser was set to continue his testimony today.

Additional news I've heard: Jackson woke up at 5:30 with a sharp shooting back pain. He felt paralyzed. He went to the hospital thinking he would get a muscle relaxer and ended up staying a few hours.

Officers are on their way to meet his car at the highway and bring him to court.

The hour is up, Jackson just arrived at the courthouse. He's walking out of his own accord. Stiffly. He looks shaken. There's a crowd outside shouting "Innocent." He's wearing blue hospital pants. Will the Judge put him in custody? He's five minutes late.

Update: Reports are that the Judge gave him a 15 minute grace period. People are re-entering the courtroom now so court will resume. Will he be wearing his pajamas? Is he too medicated to proceed?

Jackson is now seated in his chair and the accuser is in the witness chair. It looks like the trial will proceed.

Update: The judge instructed the jury:

The jury was then brought in and the judge told them, "Mr Jackson had a medical problem this morning and it was necessary for me to order his appearance."

He told the jury they should not draw a negative inference from that. "If one of you had called in sick or not appeared, or if one of the attorneys did, I would do the same thing. The trial is going to go forward (and) this has nothing to do with guilt or innocence." Melville did not say what sanctions, if any, he would taken against Jackson.

Update: The accuser finished his direct testimony and has been turned over to the defense for cross-examination. Here's what the boy testified to today. He was chatty on the stand, so much so that Mesereau objected, complaining he was going far beyond the question put to him and engaging in narratives. Cross will be the test. If the accuser's version rings true after that, Jackson will be in trouble. I think Mesereau has the goods to debunk his claims, but we'll see tomorrow.

What a loser! Michael's back hurts, Wa, Wa , Wa!!!! I think Mr Jackson can't tolerate the litany of perversion coming from his accuser! I'd like him to revoke his bail and put him in jail for a few days. Maybe he'd get some respect for the law!

MJ supporters are chanting the accusers name outside the courthouse... They are just as unhinged as he is. Money sure didnít corrupt this former black man. Its all just a big pajama party. If his bail is not revoked, you can expect the drama to continue and at the most pivotal points, I might add.

lord almighty, what a center stage sideshow! so far it's been the flu, now his back. next time i'm guessing migranes or a "severe allergic reaction" to something. guilt or innocence aside, the man seems to be falling apart at the surgically altered seams.

Sad. Innocent or guilty, he should show respect to our justice system and do what is required. He is teaching his "fans" a lesson they cannot afford to learn.

Hey, I was talking to my lawyer in the hall outside the courtroom, entered 5 minutes late and was thrown in jail for contempt of court. And the judge was right....I did have contempt for the court, moreso after he threw me in jail for a trifle.

Anybody else familiar with the DSM V? In my business, it's our bible. Youmust only display 5 out of 9 symptoms to be diagnosed with narcissism. Michael Jackson meets all 9!!! If he was my patient, I'd probably diagnose him with malignant narcissism and put him in a corner with a mirror. Works every time!

My contempt of court is showing!? Darn, I'll have to work on that. Not that I give a flying fig about it, there are far more important things going on in the world, I do think the Judge should revoke its' bail. Resolves all of the aforementioned speculation.

I don't understand why this man still have fans at all. They must be blind to how pathetic this human being is, even without child molestation. And even if he did not do it (which i highly doubt), a grown man is not normal to ask unrelated small boys to sleep with them. If he wants something to hug, he certainly can afford a human size stuff animal.

Haven't been following this at all because it's such a freaking sideshow; it's always something. Bottom line - he needs to learn some respect for the court. I wouldn't sit and 'flirt' with the judge about anything - this is too serious. So the deadline is 10:00 am; he shows up at 10:05. Oh, that's right - he is somebody!
