I just got a Food Collection notice from the post office folks.  And I'm really wondering if it's legit or not, I mean they could be reselling it to Foods Co for extra cash.  Also, my mailperson looks a little like the MUNI guy that had a half-ton of change stashed away.  What was he thinking; hoarding coins is such a bad choice!

^^Snark.

You have to wonder what the world is coming to when the USPS has to collect food to give to needy people. And we just finished giving to a read-a-thon for my nephews elementary school district so that they can afford to buy books for the libraries and have a music program. What's the old line: Wouldn't it be nice if schools were fully funded and they had to hold a bake sale to pay for a war?

nickels  are an excellent choice...melt them puppies down and they're worth 0.068.  Pre-1982 pennies are worth 0.025 in metal.

That's why it's against the law to sell them for scrap...but if the sh*t ever really hits the fan they're both more valuable than 100 bills.

Maybe we should send our favorite blogger a donation in change...lol

I'll get something over in the next few weeks,...as much as I see the election as pointless I still love the joint:)

to the Amazon link. And this is OT, but given the rice mention in Stellaaa's post, I thought I would post this link..Free Rice It is a word game and for every word you get right, 20 grains of rice are donated to the United Nations World Food Program. 180,406,920 grains of rice were donated yesterday. Over 31 billion grains of rice have been donated through this site. That feeds a lot of people. And there are some great links for green and helpful sites on the Free Rice site. I play it a lot and usually get to the top tiers in the vocabulary level. Side effect of being a reader. Heh.

Go to there, send your kids there, improve your vocabulary, or practice it, and feed people while having fun. I try to play every day for at least a few minutes. You try too.  Please.
