apparently, both the prosecution
and the defense have submitted
proposed responses to the jury
question for the consideration
of judge walton.  this smells
very much like a technical question,
i.m.h.o. especially given that judge walton
has now sent a note back to the
jurors, just to make sure he under-
stands what is being asked.

i'd doubt that this is any
sort of a blockbuster. . .

and now, per the various live-
blog feeds, it will be another
half-hour before we hear anything.

so, we wait.

the jury's return note to walton reads thus:

". . .we are clear on what we need to do. . ."

[emphasis supplied.]

even less than marginalia, i gather. . .
