who had what was described by many as the most brutal regime in the last fifty years; or Pinochet; or any number of others.

If only "the Left" had protested more..

Apparently, to some, the barbarism isnt the problem so much as the "interests" of those practicing it.

If only the Saudis would be satisified with waterboarding.
