Got tired of lurking, decided to sign up.  A blog that discusses issues - amazing!

This is a great post, btw.  As always, I am struck by how out-of-touch our representatives (on either side of the political fence) are when it comes to immigration.

It's not exactly comparing apples to oranges when one looks at how the right (and far right) hijacked the immigration debate in multiple countries in Europe.  The left is stuck compromising with them now, when they could have started rational reforms many, many years ago.

There's more to that... sorry for such a general statement.  I'll have to think about it.

p.s. off-topic, but could you start calling Huckabee "Dobson's Sockpuppet"? :-D  It was your term for Frist, and maybe you could recycle it.

Also, I don't multitask well, but I grabbed the RSS feed, so I'll be reminded to read you guys.  I greatly appreciate the depth and variety of the posts here.  I'll try to comment more.

Please keep talking about the immigration stuff... and Frank's been thrilled with "Armando's equal-opportunity smackdowns of the candidates", LOL!

look like anyone will denounce it to me. The list of co-sponsors appears to be large, and I have a feeling it will grow if leadership is pushing this as some kind of wink-and-not to the xenophobics.
