I was sickened by the images of the boot camp inmate being the victim of the commonly used 'show of force'.  The guards took it upon themselves to continue with camp protocol regardless of the obvious condition of the non-combative young person. This kid might have been a 14 caret jerk. But folks, this case is not about race.  It is mostly about the nurse who watched and did nothing to intervene.  Nurses are care-givers. They observe the conditions of those on their watch, under their care, and intervene as needed.  Schmidt watched. She passed judgment on the character of this boy and forgot he was her patient. I'm trusting the state will revoke her license. She is a disgrace to all nurses. I'm at once ashamed and incensed.
